Nomination Process

A completed nomination form must be submitted to the Adams-Friendship Academic Hall of Fame Committee by January 15 of each year for consideration. Individuals may self-nominate. Nomination forms are available by clicking the link in the sidebar of this page or by emailing a request to afedfound@gmail.com.

Once nominated, alumni candidates will be contacted and asked to submit a resume/biography including a response to the question, “How did Adams-Friendship Schools prepare you to perform for life?” The resume/biography must be submitted by NOON on March 15 of each year. Staff and Legacy nominees have no submission requirements.

Inductees for the current year will be selected by the committee and notified of their status. Nomination forms and resumes for nominees not selected will be kept on file for a minimum of three years and reviewed annually for possible induction.

The A-F Academic Hall of Fame in partnership with the Adams-Friendship Alumni Association will induct the selected candidates during the alumni banquet each May. A plaque for each will be displayed at the high school and a second presented to the honoree.

Categories:
Alumni Honoree — This category will honor former graduates of Adams-Friendship High School for their contribution to society/academic achievements and for enhancing the reputation of our school. To be considered for this honor, candidates must meet the following criteria:

Graduate of Adams-Friendship High School
Attended Adams-Friendship Area Schools for a minimum of 6 years
Graduated a minimum of fifteen years before being nominated

Former Staff Member Honoree — This category will honor former Adams-Friendship staff members for enhancing the reputation of the school district as well as their contributions supporting the academic success of our students. Staff members must be at least five years removed from service in the school district to qualify for the Hall of Fame.

Legacy Honoree — This category includes individuals deemed to be deserving of recognition and not otherwise nominated, or nominated individuals who have passed.

In special circumstances, guidelines for honorees may be waived at the discretion of the selection committee.
