Come join the fun as scores of local young actors take the stage this weekend with two professionals in Prairie Fire Children’s Theatre’s original musical production of Cinderella ! Let's Go to the Hop. The show promises to be fun for old and young alike, and continues Prairie Fire’s tradition of retelling the classics with a twist. The performances are the culmination of a weeklong residency by Prairie Fire Children’s Theatre sponsored by the Adams-Friendship Area Education Foundation, local businesses, and organizations. This theater camp is made available at no cost to area 7-18 year olds. Registration information will be available in March, 2022.

Prairie Fire Children’s Theatre’s original musical version of Cinderella, “Let’s Go to the Hop” is set in the 1950’s! Based on the classic story, this version features “Cindy” as the working girl who does everything for her stepsisters Rona, Mona, and Zona, and her stepmom, Wynona. But one “Blue Moon” that all changes! The show’s got a lot of the tunes from the 50’s, original musical numbers and even a Lip-Synch Contest!

Prairie Fire Children's Theatre (or PFCT) is a professional touring theatre company based in Barrett, Minnesota and has been bringing a theatrical experience to communities across the upper Midwest since 1987. Prairie Fire tours a variety of original musical adaptations of classic tales.
